12/3/06 vs. Grateful Leafs (3-2-1)
After starting their season 0-2-1, the Leafs have been a roll, winning three in a row. As always, this should prove to be another tough test for us. We also welcomed a second half addition to our team, Paul (Onion Soup), who should spark some offense for us.
The Leafs started out quick peppering Josh with numerous shots and midway through the first, they finally broke through for a one-goal lead. We were having our troubles as we could not get going offensively and were having troubles in our own zone as well. The Leafs speed and skill were certainly outmatching us on this day.
Early in the second period, we found a small spark of offense and knotted the game at one. However, by the end of the period, the Leafs had struck three more times to put the game out of our woeful offense’s reach.
The Leafs continiued to shower Josh with shots and while he did everything he could, in the end, it was just too much for all of us. Adding one more goal to put the game away, the Leafs skated away with their fourth victory in a row.
Final Score: 1-5
Next up, the Rangers.
